Objectives:
Arithmetic—Landon will do mathematics work at a level appropriate for his ability with an emphasis on number sense, problem solving, and foundational mathematical concepts including, but not limited to the following:
- Number patterns and systems
- Fractions
- Pre-Algebraic concepts
- Measurement
- Money
- Geometry
- Time
An emphasis will be placed on real-world application of these skills through woodworking, learning how to keep a schedule, conducting his own financial transactions, using manipulatives (such as Legos), cooking, and other practical situations.
